Forum rocrail3/15/2023 ![]() ![]() Wifi would of course be the solution for a wireless solution without the downsides of bluetooth. They have a wifi solution for PF motors according to there site. Shame, as their nControl thing looks like it could be interesting. 4DBrix has some stuff, but seems to be in problems because of copycats. I've been looking for alternatives for BAP, because of the scaling problem and the fact that the author is hardly around on this forum. Let alone what it will cost for people started with RC track to replace lots of gear. Fx Track promises us a future for 9v, but we have to see if thats gonna fly. The downside of this technic is that 9v isn't available anymore and there are lots of wires involved. 'AlmightyArjen' does similar things, also 9v. The Arduino Lego Trains youtube channel has nice videos but the author has disappeared already several years. Arduino setups seems interesting to automate stuff beyond the trick of manually hit a control thing. In the past and on Lego shows people seem to still use 9v tracks. Probably because there is no need for people to connect more than a few things to bluetooth. Besides that it is almost impossible to find bluetooth 5 dongles online. However the Acer laptop starts to give problems when I connect 12 hubs. HP elite laptops with bluetooth 4 are a no go. ![]() The only device in house on which I can connect more than 7 hubs is an acer laptop with a bluetooth 5 chipseth. However it doesn't scale, which may be due to the use a bluetooth. Last months I have been looking at BAP, the automation project for PowerUP gear. When you connect Rocrail to your CS3 (Ethernet cable) and set it correctly then the simple check is to turn the power Off and On from the Rocrail screen.I wonder if anyone has ideas about the future of lego train automation. Some weeks ago i asked about Android apps for Traincontroller and I was advised to try RocRail. Router 'autogen' changed into a separate flag. Hello I have been working with ECoS and Rocrail for a few years now and i have built up quite a successful layout. The patch makes possible to go after in blockgroups. If it turns Off and On the CS3 then your are in business. The ' autogen- '-prefix in Route names generated by router is replaced by the option Automatically generated. For routes, which still contain the leading 'autogen-', this will be removed during the next router run and replaced by the new option. It is operated by ECoS, Rocrail, Tablet or mobile phone. Now im moving on and want to make the mainlines automated so i can play with shunting and such on the branch and quarry. It contains the changes for go after in blockgroups. Without allowed direction changes in the blockgroup. is put in a block inside a blockgroup no other one can go into the blockgroup until the blockgroup is free. Definitely, each switch must have an adress defined (same as the CS3 address). Simply and oddly the adress IS NOT to be keyed in the. I have got the Rocrail system working with my tablet PC and can control points through my Lenz system with no problems. The problem I now have is how to address sensors which I have on all points to show routes and correct switching. I tested today under PiOS 64bit, with wxWidgets master revision. I cannot however access the sensors connected to LS100 modules although they are working on the LH100 controller.Ĭan anyone please help with the correct adresses for the inputs of a Lenz LS100 which is set to address 2. The event sample works, and you can zoom/pan/move the horse picture. If I have time, I will try to add the Gesture support in Rocrail. ![]()
